Thisclose was formed by some Scottish punks who have done time in various noisy punk bands throughout the years. Unlike thousands of other D-beat bands who are influenced by early Discharge, Thisclose made uncommon way by chosen to deliver their Grave New Beat heavily inspired by the not so glorious Grave New World era of Discharge. High pitched vocals and cock rock riffs with a hint of the old Discharge riffs lurking underneath. What else to say? Thisclose have the guts to endure the ‘worst’ Discharge album to the max!
The Punk Singles Collection is the compilation from their four previous ep, Fear and Terror, Burnin’ Anger, The Price We Pay and split 7” with Active Minds. This tape consists of eleven songs and eighteen minutes of music. It came out in 200 pro-print copies. Plus, they came together with silver foil stamping on thick paper and limited 100pcs metal pin. Never mind the Grave New World haters and here’s the Grave New beat!
